2025 Theme: Growing A Transformed Church

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2

Join us throughout May 2025 as we honor Pastor Larry C. Weston for his faithful leadership and service. The celebration will culminate with a special Appreciation Service on Sunday, May 18th, featuring Pastor William T. Johnson of Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church as our guest messenger. Please sign up if you plan to attend. To ensure a more accurate headcount we are asking for a donation of $1 for children under 18 and $2 for adults. Sign up today in the front lobby or during regular church operating hours. Last date to sign up is May 11th.

The Bishopville-Manning Shaw AFB Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will have a drive thru luncheon on Saturday, May 17th at 11am for Seniors at the Sumter Senior Services, 119 South Sumter St.

Services of Hope-Sumter will have its First Time Homebuyers Seminar on Saturday, May 17th at 9am-3pm at Sumter Baptist M&E Association Headquarters, 508 W. Liberty St., Sumter.

God’s Girls and God’s Gents will meet Sunday, May 18th immediately following Worship Service. Boys and Girls, please wear tennis shoes and something comfortable to exercise & play games. Please contact Sis. Ronda Steward and Bro. Richard Downs for more information.

The Floral Beautification Ministry is looking for helping hands! If you have a passion for keeping our church beautiful, we’d love to have you join the Floral Beautification Ministry. Please reach out to Sis. Deborah Simmons for more information.

Veterans Appreciation Committee presents Memorial Day Celebration on Monday, May 26th at 12pm at South Sumter park, 630 S. Sumter St.

The time is quickly approaching to recognize our students who are graduating or moving up in school! Grade Promotion and Graduation Recognition forms are now available on the podium by the church office. All forms and photos are due by Sunday, May 25 and can be submitted in person or emailed to msella12004@gmail.com. For more information, please see Sis. Ella James. Let’s celebrate our students and all they’ve accomplished!

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for Monday June 16th, Tuesday June 17th through Thursday June 19th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm nightly. Mark your calendar!
